Back to the Basics

Transition Your Dog to Fresh Food

Learn to feed your dog REAL food with my four-week interactive group course

Transform your pet from simply surviving to truly thriving by providing them with the most important tool they need to achieve health and wellness- food!

The next class opens on December 7th!

My name is Kara, and I’m a Holistic Health Practitioner for both people and pets as well as a Certified Professional Canine Nutritionist, but before anything else, I’m a pet parent just like you! When I initially jumped and fell face first into the world of fresh feeding, I was overwhelmed and pulled in a million diferent directions trying to figure out what was best for my pets. I spent countless hours and dollars trying tips and tricks from influencers, stacking my shelves with supplements, and following fads that fizzled out. It took time, but I eventually realized there was a better way.

If you’ve been wanting to transition your dog to fresh food, but you’ve been holding back because…

  • You feel overwhelmed or confused by the number of options or conflicting information out there.
  • The idea of feeding fresh food is too complicated and maybe even a little crazy!
  • You’re worried you might accidentally harm your dogs or not provide everything they need in their diet.
  • You just don’t know where to start and want some guidance.

You’re in the right place, and I am so happy you’re here!

I once felt that way as well, and it frustrated me that there seemed to be no clear path to fresh food. That inspired me to put together a course for other passionate pet parents and animal advocates so that your path can be a little less bumpy than mine. Unless, of course, you’re purposely taking the road less traveled, like Copper is down below!

The goal of this short interactive series is to:

  • Educate you on the basics of canine nutrition and how to apply that to your own pets.
  • Encourage you to get comfortable with trying something new, using trial and error, and reaching for the unknown.
  • Empower you to feel confident feeding your dog- trust me, you don’t need a rocket science degree to do it!

We can achieve all that and more, together.

My Back to the Basics course features four one-hour long interactive video lessons over a one month time period. We start on December 7th at 9am pacific/12pm eastern, and space is limited!

The Macros – Protein, Fats and Carbohydrates

  • The role of macronutrients.
  • Do dogs even need carbs?
  • Where are you now- sharing your own pet’s journey.

The Micros – Vitamins and Minerals

  • The role of micronutrients.
  • Where do we find trace minerals?
  • Some common vitamin and mineral deficiencies in homemade diets.

Ratios, Models and Rotation

  • Ratio feeding, using a DIY calculator, and sourcing ingredients.
  • Raw feeding models and their benefits and limitations.
  • The importance of rotation and variety.

Meal prep, Monitoring and Management

  • How to effectively meal prep, store food, and feed your food.
  • The importance of monitoring your dog’s weight and tolerance to foods.
  • Discussing common issues all pet parents experience including diarrhea.
  • A questionnaire will be provided prior to the first class that will allow me to learn more about you and your dog.
  • You’ll learn how to use my unique calculator for both cooked and raw DIY meals.
  • At the end of the course you will be given a FREE copy of my ‘Fine-tuning Fresh Feeding’ PDF to help you troubleshoot any problems or pitfalls you might face down the road.
  • For a limited time, you’ll receive a FREE custom-made Vitamin + Mineral food chart that can be used to provide a variety of plant and animal proteins!

Don’t wait! Truly connecting with each pet parent who joins is important to me, so the number of attendees will be limited. Once the spots are filled, this opportunity won’t return until the next course opens!

Make that step. Take a leap. Start the journey. I’d love to have you be a part this adventure come December!
